And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for
since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
The fathers are asleep, but the Father is not. All things continue as
they were since the beginning of creation BECAUSE the Father is not asleep, and
because He upholds everything by the power of His Word. He has promised His
coming, and His Word is not empty or void or useless. He will come. Do not fall
asleep. Be ready for Him! The days of Noah are upon the earth again, yet the
Lord will make a swift end of those who do not read the signs of the times. As
it is written,
Jude 1:14-15
And Enoch also, the
seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with
ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all
that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly
committed, and of all their hard speeches
which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.
