The Darkness Comprehended It Not

John 1:5

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Only the Creator can truly comprehend the vastness of creation. His being encompasses infinity, for without Him was not any thing made that was made. From the foundation of the world, He set forth His plan for Jesus Christ to be the express image of the Godhead; the face of God revealed to mankind. When God shows His face, darkness flees and those who follow Truth are drawn to the Light. Soon the Lord Jesus will appear again to mankind, to gather those who belong to the Father and redeem the earth from corruption.

The Bride, The Lamb’s Wife

Revelation 21:9-10

And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
The Holy City of Jerusalem, descending from God out of heaven and inhabited by the raptured saints of God, is the bride of the Lamb. The Holy City Jerusalem is said to be prepared as a bride and adorned for her husband, the Lord Jesus Christ. Just as the LORD created the earth to be inhabited by His own selection process, so also at the rapture and the judgment seat of Christ, the Word will have divided amongst those who will be made one flesh with Him. As it is written,

Ephesians 5:31-32

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

Revealed Unto Children

Luke 10:21

In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in Thy sight.
It is essential that we humble ourselves as children before the LORD. The difficulty only arises when we think we know more than we do. Become like a child before Him, and receive His revelation of redemptive authority. This is the power that transforms our lives and shapes us in His image

Every Good and Perfect Gift

James 1:17-18

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with Whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. Of His own will begat He us with the Word of Truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.
When we confessed with our mouths that Jesus Christ is our Lord, and believed in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we were adopted by the Father of lights. This was done of His own will, our heavenly Father drew us to Himself to be partakers of His good and perfect gifts, every one of them. The Word of Truth, placed in our mouths and planted in our hearts, gave us access to the first gift immediately: the indwelling of His Holy Spirit as our personal leader, guide, and mentor. Following the promptings of the Holy Spirit helps us to immediately grow in the likeness of His beloved Son and to lay hold of our inheritance. Thank you, Abba!

Pluck Out (Harpazo, Part 3 of 5)

The rapture is not a term that is found anywhere in the Bible, it is a concept invented by man to conceive of the Greek word harpazo. (The word “rapture” is taken from the Latin Vulgate translation “rapio”.) This word has five meanings spread across thirteen different Scriptures, so it is my intent here to let the Spirit lead into a deeper understanding of this word, and thereby a greater understanding of the concept of the rapture.

John 10:28-29

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand. My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand.
This is one of the most revealing harpazo passages. The dual nature of this meaning is powerful. It is the nature of the promise of the Father, that as we receive the free gift of His grace through His Son Jesus Christ unto salvation by His shed blood on the cross, we are firmly held in the hand of both Jesus and the Father. Therefore no man is able to pluck us out (harpazo) of their hands. To complete the picture, we have the indwelling presence of the Lord in our hearts in the Person of the Holy Spirit, our Comforter identical to Jesus and who does not speak of Himself but accomplishes the will of God based upon His spoken Word, and who is the seal of His promise unto the day of redemption when He will deliver all believers from the grasp of the enemy.

All three members of the Godhead have sworn their covenant with the one who believes in Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. The trinity of God, in complex unity (echad), has promised to catch us up (harpazo) from the wrath to come. As it is written,

1 Thessalonians 5:9

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ

Dividing (and Divided By) the Word

2 Timothy 2:15

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Studying the word of truth is far more than being diligent to read the Bible. To be approved by God, we must let His Word divide us while we are dividing the word. By the anointing of the Living Word, the Holy Spirit places His seal of approval on our spirits, and we become well pleasing to the Father of spirits. There will never be a greater reward than to stand before Him and hear, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant!”

The Promise of His Coming

2 Peter 3:4

And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.
The fathers are asleep, but the Father is not. All things continue as they were since the beginning of creation BECAUSE the Father is not asleep, and because He upholds everything by the power of His Word. He has promised His coming, and His Word is not empty or void or useless. He will come. Do not fall asleep. Be ready for Him! The days of Noah are upon the earth again, yet the Lord will make a swift end of those who do not read the signs of the times. As it is written,

Jude 1:14-15

And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.

God is One LORD

Deuteronomy 6:4

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD
One + One + One = One LORD

God the Father + God the Son, Jesus Christ + the Holy Spirit = Adonai Echad

The key to understanding the complexity of the shema lies in the simplicity of observing our own triune nature internally.  This is a portion of what it means to be made in His image: spirit, soul, and body. When He manifests Himself during the millennial reign, His name will be one. As it is written,
Zechariah 14:9

And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and His name one.

Christ, The True Vine

John 15:5

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
The new age concept of liberty does not abide in the Vine. The perfect law of liberty is only found in Christ, and He said of Himself that he can do nothing without the Father. Likewise, we can do nothing without Him. No person, group, or nation can stand in works built outside of God. Those works are built on sinking sand and will collapse. Let liberty be rededicated to dependence on the LORD, and may His fire fall on your heart as you do so, in Jesus’ name! Without Him, no one can do anything that will last.

Abide In the True Vine

John 15:4

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.
Jesus makes it very clear with this statement: He is the source of life. If you snap a branch from a tree, it has absolutely no chance of survival. It withers up, dries out, and is only useful to be burned at that point. Our works must abide in Him, or be fuel for the fire. Our lives must remain in Him, just as surely as He must remain in the Father. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and anything we ever hope to accomplish is contained within Him and Him alone. All creation is contained within Him, and all creation ultimately must glorify Him.

Scepter of Righteousness

Hebrews 1:8-9

But unto the Son He saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of Thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even Thy God, hath anointed Thee with the oil of gladness above Thy fellows.
Anointed with the oil of gladness, and calling us His friends, for He has made known to us what the Father has shown Him.  It is time to rejoice, both now and forever!
