And there came unto me one of the seven angels which
had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying,
Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb's wife. And he carried me
away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city,
the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
The Holy City of Jerusalem, descending from God out of heaven and
inhabited by the raptured saints of God, is the bride of the Lamb. The Holy
City Jerusalem is said to be prepared as a bride and adorned for her husband,
the Lord Jesus Christ. Just as the LORD created the earth to be inhabited by His
own selection process, so also at the rapture and the judgment seat of Christ, the
Word will have divided amongst those who will be made one flesh with Him. As it
is written,
Ephesians 5:31-32
For this cause shall
a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they
two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ
and the church.
