Fall Upon That Stone

Luke 20:18

Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.
The Living Word of God is His commandment; and as New Testament believers Jesus Christ is written on our hearts by the Holy Spirit. The Pharisees of Israel, religious spirits of their time, were so caught up in the stone tablets of Mosaic Law that they were unable to receive the Person of God. Their hearts had hardened to the point that God could not write on them, and the Stone fell on them and ground them to powder. Today we must still align ourselves with the Chief Cornerstone in order to function within His Body, and be set free from religious spirits. We fall on the Stone in order to be broken, and then he can fit us into place as living stones.

The Stone Which the Builders Rejected

Luke 20:16-17

He shall come and destroy these husbandmen, and shall give the vineyard to others. And when they heard it, they said, God forbid. And He beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?
God DID forbid that any man would come to Him in any other way than by the Stone, Jesus Christ. He is the Head of the Corner, and every other stone must line up with Him or be rejected from the building. The Body of Christ will be fitly framed together for all eternity.

Cut Out Without Hands

Daniel 2:45

Forasmuch as thou sawest that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it brake in pieces the iron, the brass, the clay, the silver, and the gold; the great God hath made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter: and the dream is certain, and the interpretation thereof sure.
Iron, brass, clay, silver and gold: all the elements by which mankind deems to rule himself will be proven to be futile. Every idol of the human heart will be thrown down and broken in pieces by the coming kingdom of God, which will be established by His Christ, the stone cut out without hands. The dream vision that God revealed to Daniel will surely become reality; there is no doubt of the interpretation. Let God be true regardless of the unbelief of men.

The Mystery of the Gospel

Ephesians 6:18-20

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
By praying in the Spirit we can truly access the throne of God, where Jesus sits at His right hand interceding for the saints. His intercessory ministry began at the cross, and will conclude with the eternal defeat of all forms of rebellion against God. Like the first coming, He will be preceded by the spirit and power of Elijah, already rising up in the saints who are boldly crying out for repentance. When He returns, the full mystery of the gospel will be revealed in the heavens with Him, as He catches up His saints. Then Elijah himself will preach the gospel with boldness again to the Jews in the streets of Jerusalem. When Christ sets foot on the Mount of Olives His everlasting kingdom will come to the earth.

To Quench the Fiery Darts

Ephesians 6:16-17

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
The most important piece of the armor is the shield of faith. Here the Holy Spirit is identifying our faith toward God as the shield that puts out the fires that are hurled at us by enemies. The LORD clearly identified Himself to Abram as his shield, and his exceeding great reward. As we run to the shelter of His presence, there is absolutely NO manmade weapon or satanic assault that can defeat us. Of course, this requires our total trust in Him, and the reward is the greatest prize of all: we are made in the image of Christ through the trials and struggles.

Christ: The Breastplate of Righteousness

Ephesians 6:14-15

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
The truth that sets mankind free is that Christ was made sin for us. He knew no sin, yet He took it upon Himself in order to liberate man from his sinful fallen nature, and reestablish the covering of righteousness with which God endued Adam. We can rest in the peace of God wearing the breastplate of righteousness. When we dwell in Christ we have put on the Lord in our spirits, and this realization protects the very core of our being. Thereby are we made the righteousness of God in the gospel of Christ, and filled with His glory the way He intended.

Withstand in the Evil Day

Ephesians 6:12-13

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The flesh and blood battle is about taking up the cross and walking in the Spirit. But when we are in the spirit and the conflict becomes heated, the battle is now against dark spiritual forces. This is when the enemy directly engages us, and we must always have on the full armor and be ready to respond. These conflicts are accelerating in pace and severity as the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ approaches, just as He prophesied in Matthew 24. Events around the world and especially in the Middle East, while they are of deep concern, are merely the beginning of sorrows. We can take hope in all of this, however, for the LORD has promised that believers are not appointed to wrath, and He also gave us His Word that He would never leave us, nor forsake us.

The Power of God’s Might

Ephesians 6:10-11

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
As we empty our lives of ourselves, the Lord will fill us with His might. Less of us and more of Him will always cause the power of God to flow through us, strengthening us and changing the circumstances around us, according to our yieldedness to Him. This is the same power which Christ applied, when He made an open show of the devil and all his demonic forces, and resurrected all those held captive in the Paradise chamber of Hell. The gates of Hell cannot prevail against the New Testament Body of Christ: saints who walks in the “dunamis” power of God and take authority over every dark spiritual force. That is man in God’s image, as He purposed so shall it be.

The Fruit of the Lips: Peace

Isaiah 57:18-19

I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
The LORD sees the iniquities of the human heart, and every aspect of transgression and sin that is conceived in the heart is laid open before Him. He set out to make mankind in His own image, and He will perform it. It is the express will of God to remove all iniquity and heal us of its effects. When we repent and receive the Lord Jesus into our hearts, the healing can begin, by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in our hearts. Then, by placing His Word in our mouths, peace will begin to flood our souls and the healing becomes progressive. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life: and He is restoration in our souls that leads to eternal right relationship. Glory to God!

The Souls Which God Has Made

Isaiah 57:16-17

For I will not contend for ever, neither will I be always wroth: for the spirit should fail before Me, and the souls which I have made. For the iniquity of his covetousness was I wroth, and smote him: I hid Me, and was wroth, and he went on frowardly in the way of his heart.
If not for the covenant God made with Noah the world would perish, along with every soul that God has ever made. If not for His purposeful intention to save mankind through the unveiling of Jesus Christ, every spirit would fail before the blast furnace of His wrath, in righteous judgment of iniquity. In His everlasting mercy God planned the eternal sacrifice of the Lamb from before time had a name, and has performed His Word not to contend with man forever, to fulfill His Seed and make mankind in His image for endless time in fellowship with Him. If He had not given the Lamb from the foundation of the world; if He had not hidden His face from the apostasy of mankind, He would have been honor bound by His own Word to judge and destroy creation. It is only by His Son, soon to be revealed in the heavens, that we, the redeemed, will stand before Him in glory.

To Revive the Broken Heart

Isaiah 57:15

For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, Whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
When our hearts are crushed, broken, and oppressed, the LORD has promised to move in and inhabit them. When our spirits are depressed and abased, this is when the LORD abides to make us alive again. This is the revival that speaks of the Lord’s peace: nourishment, restoration, wholeness, and energizing. There is the power of God behind His promise and His Word, He dwells in eternity, and here He is describing His second home. This is what draws the Creator of the universe to draw us; a humble spirit and a broken heart, submitted to Him.

Inherit the Holy Mountain

Isaiah 57:13

When thou criest, let thy companies deliver thee; but the wind shall carry them all away; vanity shall take them: but he that putteth his trust in Me shall possess the land, and shall inherit My holy mountain;
The inheritance God promised to Abraham now also belongs to the church by faith, and we will possess the land and inherit the holy mountain of the LORD. For this to happen, the LORD clearly states one of His conditions here, “Trust Me!” This is a daily process of placing our trust in Him and continuing to trust Him every step of the way. To do otherwise amounts to leaning on our own understanding, trusting in ourselves, and getting in His way. He makes the results of this course of action clear-cut too: let your own devices deliver you, but the wind will blow them all away and leave behind emptiness and foolishness.

Out Of the Midst Of the Fire

Ezekiel 1:4

And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.
The vision Ezekiel described is a manifestation of the glory of God. When we truly submit our hearts to God, He comes in like a whirlwind: a rushing, mighty wind. This wind will tear down everything in our hearts that does not belong. Then the fire comes to purge what remains, refining our hearts to a purer state. If He meets with any resistance in our hearts, any areas that we try to hold back from Him, the process is only prolonged. What He sets out to do He finishes. Afterward, in a time of rest, we hear the still, small voice of the Holy Spirit offering comfort and guidance to the next level. Then the process starts again.

Firstborn From the Dead

Colossians 1:18

And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence.
The Word is the beginning; Alpha and Omega. When He was raised from the dead, God saw it done: the church, which is His body; was also raised from the dead. Remember the patience of the Ancient of Days. Remember that His single most important purpose is the unveiling of His Son, Jesus Christ, in His fullness. Remember that He purposed to make man in His image. For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.

All Things Consist By Him

Colossians 1:16-17

For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.
All things great and small were created by Him: thrones, dominions, principalities, and powers. Everything visible in the earth and everything in the spirit realm. When we put on the armor, the Word warns us that we are wrestling with principalities, and powers, and rulers of darkness. When we stand on His Word and cry out to be more like Him, we are opposed by fallen spiritual hosts, opposition which He allows, in order to develop us in our transformation into His image and likeness. Whenever we are tested, whatever the reason, His goal is to make us in His image. When Christ shall appear, we shall be like Him; for we shall see Him as He is.

The Image of the Invisible God

Colossians 1:14-15

In Whom we have redemption through His blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
If we want to know what God looks like, all we have to do is look at Jesus. However, I am not talking about all the standard images of Christ that are so often set forth. The most accurate picture we can have of Jesus is first by walking with God, letting Him change our hearts, and then looking into our own hearts to see what He has removed, and what He left behind in its place. He has promised that what remains will glorify Him, and it will no longer be a stony landscape of human vanity. It will be flesh, and it will have written there the glory and majesty of His Son, in Whom He is well pleased.

Qualified For Inheritance

Colossians 1:12-13

Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son:
By the blood of Jesus Christ we are made suitable to receive our inheritance from our heavenly Father. We are delivered from the power of darkness, and by the baptism of the Holy Spirit we are made able to understand God’s language. Yet it is the hunger and thirst for more that makes us truly fluent in the ways of God. It is in becoming in His image that we can truly inherit anything, and this is the power of His resurrection.

The Two Anointed Ones

Zechariah 4:14

Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
Two men are currently reserved, before the presence of God Almighty, as witnesses to Jerusalem, Israel, and the whole world during the tribulation. They have spent many centuries in the most excellent glory, held in readiness for their three and one half year testimony to the blessing and glory, wisdom and thanksgiving, honor and power and might of God. One of them is clearly identified as Elijah, and the other I believe to be Enoch. The earth is groaning in anticipation of the spiritual outpouring that is about to occur, in preparation for the return of the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Great Light Rising

Matthew 4:16

The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
The Second Coming of Jesus Christ is going to be the permanent sunrise, and darkness will be dispelled for all ages. After the Millenium, Satan will be released from the bottomless pit for a short space, his last opportunity to deceive mankind before he is cast into the lake of fire permanently. All rebellion will have been put down on Earth for eternity, and all that remains will glorify God. The region and shadow of death itself will be purged from the earth and cast down as well, and the Dead Sea will come to life as the eastward flowing river, flowing out from under the temple, restores the salt waters and causes new life to spring up. Behold, says the Lord, I make all things new!

Walking Through the Fire

Isaiah 43:2

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
When you walk more deeply with God, the storms can begin to rage more fiercely. The waters of trouble will rise up like rivers. The flames will be heated up seven times more. Yet God has instructed us to trust and not fear; He has promised to manifest Himself in a glorious way in the midst of every trial. In quietness and confidence, we can WALK through the fire, and the flames will not even touch us. He goes out before us, and He is our rear guard.

Sparks Kindle Sorrow

Isaiah 50:11

Behold, all ye that kindle a fire, that compass yourselves about with sparks: walk in the light of your fire, and in the sparks that ye have kindled. This shall ye have of Mine hand; ye shall lie down in sorrow.
As the darkness of these final moments of the end times grows, there are many who are lighting their own fires to try to find the way. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and He is the only Light of the world. Every other light is a fading fire, every other flame is simply just sparks. Like fireworks, they burn up fast, and then fall to the ground smoldering and spent. The Sun of righteousness will light the path of the just forever.

They Shall Say, “Peace and Safety”

Daniel 11:24

He shall enter peaceably even upon the fattest places of the province; and he shall do that which his fathers have not done, nor his fathers' fathers; he shall scatter among them the prey, and spoil, and riches: yea, and he shall forecast his devices against the strong holds, even for a time.
As the end of the age approaches, the level of deception will increase. For many, those whose focus is not on the Lord, it shall seem like peace and safety is all around. Jesus spoke of a whole different meaning of peace. The peace He referred to is a level of provision from God that supplies deliverance from oppression, preserves purity of heart and soul, brings healing to the body, and wholeness to the spirit. When the antichrist projects his wicked devices against the strongholds of God, the people of God will not be deceived. The sudden destruction that swallows the fallen world will pass by like the death angel, leaving the remnant to inherit the peace that Christ will establish during the millennium.

The Nature of Works Will Be Manifest

1Corinthians 3:12-13

Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
First we must build upon the True Foundation, and then we must build the works of God in Him. The LORD is the judge, and at the last judgment His consuming fire will try the works, purging all works of the flesh so that only the spiritual works that God ordained will remain. The fire will try the works and prove them, and the Day of the Lord will declare them.

Christ: The True Foundation

1Corinthians 3:11

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
There is no foundation to build upon other than Jesus Christ. He is the basis for all creation. He is the substructure of the universe. The entire concept of foundation rests upon Him, as He is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Building the work of God on the True Foundation is the only lasting effort, and He will establish this work. What He does not establish will not remain.

Christ: The Architect of Souls

1Corinthians 3:10

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
Christ is the foundation of all creation, and the Chief Cornerstone. Every stone that is laid in a foundation must line up with the chief cornerstone in order to be effective. Those that do not are removed and replaced with others that will. The restoration of ones soul depends entirely on receiving the engrafted, incorruptible Word of God and lining ones thoughts up with the Chief Corner Stone. Thereby we become living stones, as it is written. We shall be known and read by all men.

Salvation and Strength

Daniel 2:44

And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.
What the Lord GOD purposed through Jesus on the cross will soon be consummated for all mankind. Salvation AND strength. The kingdom of our God AND the power of His anointing (Christ). The power of His anointing will restore all things to His plan and purpose, and purge humanity and the earth of all separation and rebellion. The accuser of the brethren will first be cast out of heaven into the earth, and thereafter cast into the lake of fire forever. The kingdom of heaven will remain, and all who enter in will glorify God. Jesus is the door. He alone is the entrance into the kingdom of heaven.

Refuge in the Rock

Isaiah 16:3

Take counsel, execute judgment; make thy shadow as the night in the midst of the noonday; hide the outcasts; bewray not him that wandereth.
Before Christ returns to rescue His people Israel from what will seem like certain destruction, they will again be divided, and a portion of them will take refuge in the rock city of Petra. Yet in truth, their refuge will be in the Rock Himself, as He delivers them once and for all from the hands of those who would destroy them. The kingdom of God is come nigh unto the earth, and the increase of His government will know no boundaries. The knowledge of the glory of the Lord will cover the earth, as the waters cover the seas.

Christ, The True Vine

John 15:5

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing.
The new age concept of American liberty does not abide in the Vine. The perfect law of liberty is only found in Christ, and He said of Himself that he can do nothing without the Father. Likewise, we can do nothing without Him. No person, group, or nation can stand in works built outside of God. Those works are built on sinking sand and will collapse. Let this “Independence Day” be signified by a rededication to dependence on the LORD, in Jesus’ name! Without Him, no one can do anything that will last.

Abide In the True Vine

John 15:4

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me.
Jesus makes it very clear with this statement: He is the source of life. If you snap a branch from a tree, it has absolutely no chance of survival. It withers up, dries out, and is only useful to be burned at that point. We must abide in Him, or be fuel for the fire. We must remain in Him, just as surely as He must remain in the Father. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and anything we ever hope to accomplish is contained within Him and Him alone. All creation is contained within Him, and all creation ultimately must glorify Him.

God Will Separate His Harvest

Matthew 13:30

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
There are moral absolutes, and there is a process by which God will separate His people. As the harvest approaches, so does the time of separation. That which glorifies God will be gathered and stored within His eternal temple: the New Jerusalem come from heaven to earth. That which does not will be gathered and burned. The earth and all the works therein, having been purged by fire, will glorify Him in purity and truth. The revelation of the Son will consummate the restitution and subjection of all things.

God’s Promise: Restitution of Peace

Revelation 21:4

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
This is the promise of the Father, first for the individual upon spiritual rebirth, and then for all mankind upon the restitution of all things. However, He has placed His government upon the shoulder of the Prince of Peace, and He is not a dictator like the kings of this world, nor is He a liberal humanist like new age democracies. He is not politically correct or selfishly motivated, He is the blessed and only True Authority. When we choose Him, we receive the promise. Whoever rejects Him rejects the promise. Let God be true, and every man a liar.
