The Fruit of the Lips: Peace

Isaiah 57:18-19

I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts unto him and to his mourners. I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him that is far off, and to him that is near, saith the LORD; and I will heal him.
The LORD sees the iniquities of the human heart, and every aspect of transgression and sin that is conceived in the heart is laid open before Him. He set out to make mankind in His own image, and He will perform it. It is the express will of God to remove all iniquity and heal us of its effects. When we repent and receive the Lord Jesus into our hearts, the healing can begin, by the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling in our hearts. Then, by placing His Word in our mouths, peace will begin to flood our souls and the healing becomes progressive. Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life: and He is restoration in our souls that leads to eternal right relationship. Glory to God!

Laborers Into His Harvest

Luke 10:2

Therefore said He unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that He would send forth labourers into His harvest.
The Lord has spoken that at the time of the greatest harvest ever, the harvest of souls before the Millennium, the plowman will overtake the reaper. The coming harvest is so mighty that as soon as the seed hits the ground it will spring up into mature fruit. This speaks to the kind of miraculous works that can only be done by the powerful movement of the Holy Spirit, as He broods over the face of humanity and then is poured out on all mankind. This is the great and dreadful Day of the Lord: great for those who serve Him and partake of His labors, and filled with dread for those who do not.

Search the Heart

Jeremiah 17:10

I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.
The heart and soul of man is a creation of the sovereign LORD of the universe. He alone can fathom all of the thoughts and intents, the very depths of the heart. In turn this is where Christ, through the Holy Spirit, will speak to us. Awareness of His still small voice will ensure that good fruits will prosper in our hearts, in our souls, and in our lives.

Fallen Corn of Wheat

John 12:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.
Jesus spoke here of the crucifixion of His own body. This earthly shell called the flesh must be crucified in order to be resurrected in righteousness. This corruption will put on incorruption as we submit to God and are transformed into the image of His Son. As we shed this earthly body, the glory of the risen Savior will be seen shining out of our own spirits.
